Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga constitutes adaptations of classic yoga practices that are suited for the physique, strength, and emotional wellbeing of pregnant women. The class will involve a selection of basic Asanas that are modified to take into consideration a pregnant women’s restrictions in terms of movement and balance. A focus is made on strengthening the pelvic muscles, the connection between breathing and the movement of the diaphragm (which is fundamental for mothers who will experience a natural delivery), enhancing circulation, and connecting with and responding to the movements of the baby in utero. Prenatal yoga is gaining tremendous popularity as it is quickly becoming recognized as an ideal way for pregnant women to stay in shape and prepare for childbirth.
